If you are in search of an experience that reflects the breathtaking natural surroundings here, look no further than Zebra Shadow. It’s one of the best Joshua Tree airbnbs. This two-bedroom retreat offers swoon-worthy views from every single room.
The goal? To reflect the beauty around you so you can drink in the peace and tranquility.
It’s conveniently located just a 5 minute drive to the entrance to the park and comes with a large jet hot tub and outdoor shower (in addition to the two indoor bathrooms) plus outdoor propane fire pit.
You won’t be sharing those amenities with others either. This is your own private desert oasis located on 3.5 acres of land. Be aware that there is an outdoor shower though (cold water only).
Review: “If you’re thinking about booking this Airbnb, DO IT. Zebra Shadow is such a stylish and lovely space! It’s worth the splurge and it’s even better than the pictures.”
2. Architect’s Off-Grid Stargazing Cabin
Are you up for a bucket list stargazing experience?
Stay in this architect-designed off-the-grid oasis. This Joshua Tree cabin is basically a tiny house made from a simple steel structure that is open to the starry night and mountain desert views.
This place is magical. Since it sleeps two, it’s ideal for a romantic retreat (but it can sleep up to six). There’s an indoor bed, an outdoor bed, and a pull out sofa.
It’s the best of both worlds: Sleeping directly under the velvety black sky while also enjoying a comfy bed.

In addition to the bed on the boat, you’ll love the Bluetooth-enabled record player in the Tiki Lounge and nautical punk theme in the modern-day outhouse.
While the owners are artists who work on site, you’ll have plenty of privacy here.
Review: “So many little things to discover the more time you spend there, and everything is so thought out. The quirkiness really makes the Joshua tree experience amazing. The ship is super cozy, the tiki bar room is an incredible little spot to hang and listen to music, and that surf shower is something else!”

The Rising Sun tipi is located on 10 beautiful acres within the Lazy Sky Boutique Retreat.
While you’re kind of camping, you’ll also be sleeping in extreme comfort on a cozy tuft and needle queen bed. The tipi is decorated in Native American and Southwestern colors.

There are five tipis in total which share flush toilets and a hot outdoor shower, plus a full kitchen with a full size refrigerator and french press.
Review: “Believe the reviews, this Tipi is a must stay! Incredible experience, so comfortable and quiet – there are other tents around which helps it feel safe, but not close enough to hear normal conversation levels from others in the tent. Propane fire pit was the highlight of the spot.”
